RAPE IN INDIA - Another victim of Shakti Mills gang-rapists

Missing woman, 19, says she was ANOTHER victim of Shakti Mills gang-rapists

A 19-year-old girl, who went missing on August 1 from Bhandup in Mumbai, returned home on Monday to narrate a horror story similar to that of the photojournalist gang-raped by five men on the compound of Shakti Mills on August 22.

The Bhandup police station on Tuesday registered a rape complaint against five men, including three of the accused who are already in jail for allegedly raping the 22-year-old photojournalist.

The victim said in her complaint that she and a male friend were passing from near the Shakti Mills on July 31 when five drug addicts accosted them and took turns to rape her.

She said she was scared and traumatised and afterwards fled to Chhattisgarh for safety. Her family, meanwhile, lodged a missing complaint.

Police showed the girl the sketches of the five accused in the photojournalist gang-rape case and the girl identified Salim Ansari, Vijay Jadhav and Kasim Bengali.

The other two have been identified as Ashfaq Shaikh and one Gotya. Police have launched a hunt to find them.
