HEALTH TRIANGLE - Balanced Health Triangle Tips

          The combination of the physical, mental and social aspects of a person creates a health triangle and this describes all about his/her lifestyle and well-being. One who achieves a balanced view of these three aspects in life can be called as healthy. If one aspect of it weakens, it completely affects the rest of the sides of the triangle and make the person unhealthy either mentally, physically and socially. Therefore learning how to balance all three sides of the health triangle is quite important.


  • Exercise yourself
          While you concentrate on your physical side of the health triangle by engaging in any kind of bodily activity, we should also exercise our mental and social sides of the triangle. Simple aerobic exercises such as;  jogging, swimming, cycling, walking, gardening, and dancing, can improve your mental side and reduce mental disorders like anxiety and depression. Moreover, by doing simple activities like solving puzzles can improve your mentality and memory skills as well as in mood and motivation to think clearly. We can improve our social side by engaging in team work. Joining a team sport is a great way to meet people and bond with them. Team sports lead to great stories and enhance social interactions. From bowling to rugby, a team sport will give you the opportunity to meet and work together with 10 or more other people. You can also improve your social aspects by doing exercises with another person which help you to motivate yourself and at the same time make your workouts more interesting. Find someone who is dependable and you like to be with, either to go the gym together, jog in weekends or simply to work out at home.

  • Take rest
          Just as your body needs to rest, you should let your other areas of the health triangle to rest as well. Give your brain a work out by regularly practicing yoga and meditating activities which improves your cognitive functions as well as emotional processes. Yoga can positively affect the parts of your brain that deal with stress, sensory awareness, self awareness, and judgement. You could also improve your mental health by going to a spa treatment which would not just improve you physically but mentality too by calming you and healing you inside and out. Other than your mental side, social health is also can be improved by making social dates with friends and family to share a cup of tea, go out for a movie day, or else to play board games.

  • Avoid negative impact 
          In order to balance your health triangle and avoid all negative impacts refraining from alcohol, tobacco, or any other harmful drug can improve your physical fitness. Always be optimistic and use your brain to avoid all unnecessary conflicts and solve all the problems in your life. Stay away from situations that cause undue anxiety or unease, and do not associate people you find to be overly negative or toxic.



  • Try new experiences
          One great way to expand and improve your health triangle as a whole is to try new experiences. If your social area is week, try to engage in activities where you meet lots of people. If you are in need of improvement on the mental aspect of your health, try doing new mentally orientated games, such as working on a crossword puzzle and test yourself. If your workout routine is lagging, join for a new class which you prefer or enlist a friend as your walking buddy.



          All these four simple steps will improve and balance your health triangle by interacting with each side of the triangle with each other as a whole. This would develop your mentality, improve you physically and making you more social, in order to make you healthy as a whole. Balancing your health triangle is like saying farewell to a dull day and start up with a new fresh day!
