SELF MOTIVATION - How to Bloom Where You're Planted

Steps

  1. 1
Appreciate things about the place where you live. Try to put yourself in the shoes of someone that has never been to your town or city. What is unique and beautiful about your home?

  2. 2
Spend time with your family. They raised you and will continue to be a part of your life until they pass away. Talking with them and doing small things to show you care for them, will only improve your days.

  3. 3
Keep track of your goals. Break them up into small pieces and accomplish a little bit every day.

  4. 4
Go with the flow. Accept that you cannot control everything and make the best of the situations you are presented with. There's no use crying over spilled milk. Being flexible in life makes for a lot less stress and hardship.
  5. 5
Keep a balanced lifestyle between school or work, friends, leisure, and exercise. Participate in activities that you enjoy.

  6. 6
Be friendly and talk to the people you interact with daily. They are going to be there for a while. Every person has many interesting secrets and characteristics that are worth discovering.
  7. 7
Participate in your communityVolunteer, join a club, and go to events around town.

  8. 8
Accept the things in your life that you cannot change, and work on the changing the things in your life that you can do something about.
  9. 9
Have a positive outlook on life. There are many things we cannot change in life, but it will be a much more pleasant experience if you keep a positive attitude. Fake it until you make it. Often if you're having a bad day, and force a smile on your face you will end up smiling for real and will feel better for it.
