Budget report seem like Mission Impossible?
Sure, you can blame the post-lunch slump or weak java,
but according to a study published in the British Journal
of Nutrition, dehydration could be the culprit.
Water
The study—which consisted of 26 healthy men—found that
even mild dehydration negatively impacts both mental tasks
and memory.
Why? Imbalanced electrolytes in body fluid may affect
certain regions of the brain, posits study author Lawrence
Armstrong, Ph.D., professor at the University of Connecticut.
How do you know if you’re well hydrated? You should be
urinating every 2 to 4 hours, and your stream should be
clear to light yellow.
If you’re not a big water drinker—don’t forget foods packed
with H20. Watermelon, for one, is 92 percent water (hence
the name).
