A recent Accenture survey of 4,100 business executives found that work-life balance is more important to the respondents' own definition of success than the "standard" motivators of money and recognition. The respondents, from medium to large organizations across 33 countries, are profiled in the report Defining Success: 2013 Global Research Results.
They include a balance of male and female respondents and of Generation X, Generation Y and Baby Boomers. Most believe they "can have it all", although not necessarily all at the same time. And almost 80% credit technology with the work flexibility that is important to their work-life balance.
