LOVE - How to Love a Person for Who They Are

Edited by Horses4Ever, Dlpn, Library, Travis Derouin and 10 others
Sometimes you love someone because they're an important figure in your life, such as a parent, child, or other close relation. But you may not know who they really are, and it can be difficult to love someone for who they are, rather than just because they were born to you or you were born to them. Here's how to love a person on another level.
Steps

  1. 1
Learn who they are. If you are a parent, maybe your child has developed a unique identity and you have not gotten to know them as adults yet. Or as a child, you may not see your parents as people who once struggled with the same issues you struggle with and have personalities outside of being parents.
  2. 2
When you look at them, think what makes you want them? Just think about it, but don't break your head for it. Just keep asking yourself the question repeatedly whenever you see the person. If you are already with that person(in a relationship) and you feel that you are finding it hard to understand, then this is the best thing that you can do. After you go home, just lie down in bed and imagine the person. Bring that person in front of you (in your imagination).Try to find out where your imagination can lead to the findings about that person.
  3. 3
Learn to appreciate that person for who he/she is. Don't try to enforce your ideas into how your partner should be.
  4. 4
Be happy for who that person is.
  5. Tips
  6. ·         Try to find out his/her weaknesses and strengths.
    ·         When you are with that person, try to find out what makes that person happy and what makes that person sad.
    ·         Appreciate them for who they are
    ·         Find out what he/she is good at
    ·         Be free and don't try to change who you really are around the person.

    Warnings
    ·         Never go ask the person these questions directly, it might make them insecure and also might also put you into a doubtful situation.
