WOMEN - Are you in the infidelity danger zone?

Are you in the infidelity danger zone? Women most likely to have affairs between age of 25 and 34, study reveals

  • - Nearly two thirds of women opt for affairs lasting 1-3 months
  • - Only 19.6 per cent say they are looking for a one-night stand

Those in a relationship with a woman between 25 and 34 might want to keep their wits about them.

According to a new poll, those who fall into this are most likely to seek an extramarital affair - and that number is increasing.

Furthermore, for 79.2 per cent of women, the over-riding reason for cheating on partners is an unfulfilled sex life.

The survey of 10,245 British, female members of the website provides a snapshot of the changing face of infidelity in this country. Globally, female infidelity is on the rise and the UK is no exception.

And while the most unfaithful age bracket might be 25 to 34 (35.1 per cent), the 35 to 44-year-olds are not far behind, at 30.4 per cent.

Unfaithful women seem to mirror cheating men, with both sexes claiming to still love their partners.

Just over three quarters, 76.9 per cent, of cheating women say they still love their long-term partner and an overwhelming 95.1 per cent say they are not in love with their affair partner.
In line with this, only 11.6 per cent say they would like to leave their husband or partner.

However, it seems that the one-night stand is still male territory, as an affair lasting from one to three months is typical for 60.3 per cent of the women surveyed and only 19.6 per cent say they are looking for a one-off.

Noel Biderman, founder and CEO of AshleyMadison.com says: 'Women are gaining power in the workplace and they're no longer prepared to accept a disappointing performance from their man in the bedroom.

'Many work long hours, they juggle family and professional responsibilities and find that a busy lifestyle can be both an excuse and a cover for cyber affairs and physical affairs.

'Attitudes to infidelity amongst women are changing fast. The taboo is disappearing, it's no longer a male preserve.

'With smartphones and access to the Internet 24/7, women have the tools to seek out and conduct discreet affairs that leave no "digital lipstick" in the way that Facebook does.'

I'm a married teacher and I'm having sex with five other men

'I'm Julia*, 34, and I've been married for 6 years.

My husband works away frequently leaving me feeling lonely and neglected.

I signed up with Ashley Madison in January of this year and have met quite a few men, always more than just the once.

I make that quite clear from the start, I want to get to know the person, it's not just the sex. I usually meet them several times before having sex.

At the moment I'm seeing five men, one of them since February, so life's quite busy, what with my full-time job as a teacher. It's like having lots of mini relationships.

I'll find happiness where I can, my husband and I don't argue any more, it's helped me and my marriage and doesn't hurt anyone.
I don't know if I love my husband.  I'm not in love with the guys I see, I try and be very detached from them.

The men are usually clingier than me and I'm very clear about not leaving husband, I'm comfortable enough to be honest. I'll stop doing this eventually, but my husband and I have done counselling and he's not really changed. Life's for living as far as I'm concerned, I'm just enjoying myself.

The men are not sleazy, I've not had one bad date, but bonkers things do happen and most men seem to lie about their age.

I look for intelligent, literate men and love meeting people that I wouldn't normally bump into. I've got my own money I don't need anyone to buy me things, though some of them want to.'
